Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable secure a new temporary site to host the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire for three weekends. With much regret we announce that we will be unable to offer our beloved School Day event for 2025.
In lieu of not gathering to celebrate 38 years of medieval merriment, the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire will transform Gainesville’s Depot Park as “Hoggetowne Goes Downtown” January 25-26 from 10am-6pm. Admission is free for this condensed two-day preview that features many of the beloved highlights such as talented artisans and craftspeople, olde world demonstrations, exciting stage combat, medieval music and dance, a living chessboard, royal knighting ceremonies with the King and Queen, food court favorites and, of course, turkey legs!
As we embrace and move forward with this temporary solution for 2025, we are actively searching for viable sites for 2026 so that we may return to our traditional three weekends and once again welcome students to School Day at the Faire.
