Artisans from around the realm are royally invited to display their finest medieval talents and wares in the bustling marketplace of the 35th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire!
Help us celebrate the colorful culture of our medieval village at festival time! Come join over 160 highly skilled artisans who sell and demonstrate time-honored arts and crafts. Our village of Hoggetowne will be filled with fantastic weavers, sturdy blacksmiths, proficient leatherworkers, masterful potters, stunning woodcarvers, top-notch jewelers and dexterous tailors while the aroma of mouth-watering turkey legs, blooming onions, sweet potato fries and pastries fills the air.
In keeping with the Faire’s authentic atmosphere, all crafts and wares should be consistent with the medieval theme.
This highly anticipated event, produced by the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, has gained a reputation as one of the best medieval (tent) fairs in the country. This increasingly popular event will enchant Gainesville, Florida, for three consecutive weekends, January 15-16, 22-23, and 28-30, 2022. The Faire will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Friday, Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participants must follow the Faire’s guidelines by wearing medieval attire, speaking with a medieval accent, and decorating their booths in an appropriate medieval style.
