ARTISANS AND MERCHANTSAll artists and craftspeople are royally invited to display their finest medieval talents and wares in the bustling marketplace of the 35th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire on January 15-16, 22-23, 28-30, 2022. Help us celebrate the colorful culture of our medieval village at festival time. Skilled artisans will sell and demonstrate time-honored arts and crafts such as weaving, blacksmithing, leatherworking, pottery, woodcarving, jewelry and clothing. The aroma of mouth-watering turkey legs, blooming onions, sweet potato fries and pastries will fill the air. More than 160 artisans and craft makers join a troupe of actors, musicians and street performers for a journey back to the days of brave knights and fair maidens.

VOLUNTEERSCome be swept away with medieval magic by volunteering at the 35th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire. The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department is now recruiting volunteers for the Faire. For three consecutive weekends, tucked away in the enchanted forest of the Alachua County Fairgrounds, a medieval marketplace comes to life as troupes of actors, street performers and musicians journey back to the days of yore. The success of the Faire depends heavily on the commitment of dedicated volunteers, and we need your help to make the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire as spectacular as ever as we expand the Faire to three weekends for the first time!
